New Partnership
The Penn State College of Agricultural Sciences, Penn State Extension is excited to announce a new strategic partnership with UCP Central PA to implement AgrAbility PA, a project funded through the US Department of Agriculture, National Institute of Food and Agriculture. AgrAbility PA assists farmers, ranchers, and other agricultural workers with disabilities or long-term health conditions by providing the resources and support they need to live independently and continue in production agriculture.
Penn State staff will continue their role of information & referral and direct evaluation and support for farmers with disabilities. UCP staff will be responsible for the marketing and outreach activities.
For 61 years, UCP has provided support to individuals of all ages with many different types of disabilities. UCP has also provided assistive technology supports and services to those same individuals for nearly 30 years. UCP’s vast experience, coupled with their demonstrated success in digital media marketing creates an effective partnership that provides the foundation for positive outcomes as they relate to farmers with disabilities.
Welcome UCP, we look forward to sharing success with you.
