January 2022: AgrAbility PA Project Highlights
Staff from AgrAbility PA and Penn State Ag Safety and Health teamed up to host an interactive display at the 2022 Keystone Farm Show in York, Pa, during the first week of January. This three-day event is the largest commercial farm equipment and service provider show in the state! Nearly 100 attendees visited and talked with the AgrAbility PA. Information was provided on financial resources available from both the state’s Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR) and Pennsylvania Assistive Technology Foundation (PATF).
AgrAbility PA staff members continued life on the education, networking, and outreach circuit by presenting to the Tri-County Employment Coalition, participating in the FRSAN NE Extension Cohort meeting (which focuses on farm stress and mental health in the Northeast), and attending the PA Farm Link board to share about the work AgrAbility does to support farmers. Pennsylvania Farm Link is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization working with the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture and other agricultural organizations and businesses across the Commonwealth to support PA farmers.
